As a self-taught contemporary artist, Mary Beth Kushner, is recognized for her diverse use of acrylic paints, inks and mediums, as well as selectively incorporating aerosol paint to create depth. Painting affords her with the opportunity to truly live in the moment.
With over 20 years of experience as a former Occupational Therapist, Mary Beth is inspired by human connections and the strength of the human spirit when faced with adversity. Over the past several years, she has had to repeatedly draw upon her inner fortitude to adapt to life-altering illnesses.
Since transitioning out of the healthcare field, Mary Beth continues to work closely with persons from all walks of life as she is now a self-employed interior/exterior professional painter.
Mary Beth has not only discovered a truly enjoyable second career, but she also recently reconnected with her love for painting after more than a decade removed from participating in her last juried art exhibition. Through her art, Mary seeks to evoke emotion and allow for reflection, creating pieces that resonate deeply with diverse audiences.
